Andrea was my second bride to contact me for wedding photography. Yep, I was nervous but wow was I excited. Once I had booked several weddings this year I decided I better get my buns in gear and figure out exactly what should be done for these guys and gals. SO I followed around a couple of AWESOME ladies and got a feel for what the flow of the day should be like. All in all, it’s pretty easy (mind you stressful and nerve-racking for this photographer)…hurry up and wait…follow the bride and groom and snap away at as much as possible. HA HA HA okay I’m not making it out to be very glamorous. BUT it’s pretty darn amazing. You get to watch two people who love each other so much they make the decision to commit to an entire lifetime together. You get to watch them say their vows, make their promises and most importantly watch them while they relish in the deepest love they have ever felt. It’s simply amazing.
When shooting Carson and Andreas engagement session it was clear these two were in deep. It made it even more exciting thinking about their day and what they would have planned. AND…it was perfect, it was gorgeous, it was absolutely everything the two of them had dreamed of. Surrounded by family and friends who clearly love these two more than words can say, they said their vows and started their journey with a fairy tale beginning.
She’s absolutely stunning…obviously, by looking at her images it’s pretty clear to see. She’s simply beautiful…with my kind of twist. THAT DRESS! I LOVE every bit of it! The colour might have something to do with it, and the style, and the details…I LOVE IT! Not only is she gorgeous but she has a kick butt personality to boot.
We went to one of my favorite places (can you guess?) as a girl I went there every summer and I just happened to have my wedding dance and reception there. Plus my grandparents live right down the road (which on another note comes in very handy when there on an evening shoot and I forget bug spray). She had a grad barbecue down the road that night and we managed to hide from the traffic which was more than likely her friends heading out for a night of fun! (which I heard was quite crazy…doesn’t surprise me one bit 😉 )
Thanks dear for the afternoon! You have an awesome family (may be a little biast…ha ha ha) and I had a blast with you all! Good luck in your future endeavours, I know you’ll take the world by storm!
Little miss L! How perfect and sweet and GORGEOUS she be! I love how adorable and amazing it is to watch your good friends have children! It’s so exciting to see who they will look like, how they will act…give her a few years and I’m sure she’ll be just as vivacious, outgoing, smart and beautiful as her mother! ha ha ha yeah, Dad you will fit in there too! She’s absolutely stunning…and although we did her session a few days later than I normally do newborn sessions (a little closer to three weeks I believe) little miss L showed me how good things come to those who wait. She was an absolute dream to work with and her baby rolls made it ALL the more adorable! I had a wonderful afternoon visiting with my dear friend and getting to know this little angel. AND I hope to have a few more of those visits this summer!
Miss you guys!
She’s young, beautiful and a girl who knows exactly what she wants. She has the drive to do anything she wants and I have a feeling she will do just that.
Our session was an absolute blast! This girl was so creative and energetic and her laugh was absolutely beautiful…she’s a “pretty laugher”. ha ha ha! I on the other hand…yikes! Her independence and maturity was both refreshing and inspiring. She and her family have every right to believe this free bird will win any battle she chooses. She chooses her own path and soars freely and I am so grateful to have been given the chance to get to know her!
Congratulations dear! You are a stunning girl with hopes and dreams that I know will take you to high places!
This was one of the best little ones I had the privilege of photographing! He slept so perfectly (in between snacks) and well…he’s just all sorts of perfect! I was so excited when his grandma made the call to purchase a gift certificate for baby pics of this little one. Once meeting his family and seeing how madly in love they were with this little guy…it was easy to see how they couldn’t wait to capture his tiny features and keep them forever. The immense pride they all had for this little one was absolutely heart melting. I even got to have a nice coffee break and chat during one of his “coffee breaks” and it was great to get to know them better.
Every bit of this little man was and is absolutely adorable. I love watching them grow and seeing how they change…babies are amazing!
Thank you all so much for the opportunity to photograph this little one. It was such a fun session and jam-packed with way too much cuteness!
Every woman dreams of the perfect dress. It’s like the ultimate hunt. She plans, researches and hunts for the perfect gown. Every woman is different…some spend months draping their bodies in countless yards of satin, silk and lace…others spot one and instantly fall in love. It is undoubtedly the most gorgeous article of clothing she will ever wear. How can it be anything but…it’s her wedding dress.
However, something funny happens after she wears her dress…it gets shunned…to the back of the closet…tragic. For some it may hide for 25 years before it emerges on a daughter or a friend who flounces around at her silver wedding anniversary. For others…it may eventually find its way to the trash…like I had said…TRAGIC!
This is where the fun comes in. Why not trash that dress in style! I want to give away a trash the dress session to a lovely lady and her dapper gentleman and give her another chance to feel amazing in that satin and lace! We will be photographing the winner in her dress in less traditional places, without the worry of getting dirty or wet before a reception or supper. It’s a way to be more artistic and creative in that amazing gown. BUT I have to give it away to a lovely lady who really wants it. SO this is where I want you to email me and tell me why you want your very own trash the dress session! It can be any reason! I will choose the winner on August 29th…based entirely on why you would like a trash the dress session!!!
I have several locations in mind and would love to stretch my creative wings with someone who would equally love to dive into this session! I am so excited and hope hope hope I find some equally excited ladies (and gentlemen 😉 )
SO email me via the contact page and tell me why you would want to trash the dress (no no we wont actually ruin your dress…okay well I can’t guarantee that…but it will be a blast!)
It isn’t hard to describe their kind of love. It’s simple, sweet, and very small town. They both grew up in tiny town Saskatchewan (I can’t even call it small) and both came from very different families. She from her quiet modest german background, he from his large…LARGE typical Saskatchewan roots. However, it’s the subtle differences that come together to make a perfect pair. Manuela and Kevin are just down to earth fun-loving people. Not only that, they share two gorgeous children with amazing vivacious personalities. They are truly blessed. The evidence only piles up when you take a look at their friends. It’s easy to see how easy these two are to love by the loyalty in their crazy (yet incredibly adorable and amazing) friends! Ugh…it just makes my heart melt.
I have always been told the lord, a higher power, the universe…whatever you will call it…gives you exactly what you need. Well I can say I definitely needed this pair. They were absolutely fantastic to work with. I was incredibly nervous for my first wedding and just wanted to give them so badly what they deserved…gorgeous wedding photos. I certainly hope I was able to provide them with their dream photography…because they are certainly my dream clients! Thank you both so much…for everything! You have helped me grow so much in my business and I dare say I made a couple of pretty awesome friends out of the deal!
You guys are an amazing couple and I wish you all the best in your future! I agree with Kevin’s sister…there should definitely be a couple more little ones in the future! 😉
